Hey guys, gals,and everyone else!
I’ve started running…or at least incorporated it with my workouts. Shocking..I know. I’ve always been less than athletic, and so finally enjoying running is a big deal for me! So I thought I’d put together some fitness and beauty items I’ve been loving lately!
Hey guys, gals, and everyone else!
So Brenna (You’ll remember her from this post!) turned 23 on July 13th! Everyone say Happy Birthday Brenna😀 So for her birthday we went to a Halsey concert! We had a great time, and it was a wonderful start to her birthday! I have this theory that for a birthday you should 1. Get Something 2. Do Something and 3. Eat Something! So this was the Do Something portion
I’m pleased to welcome a guest blogger! Samantha has a wonderful fitness-based site called Ripped.me, and wanted to share her knowledge with us! I love her message of making sure our bodies are healthy and happy so they can take us into the future! Let’s welcome her to the staywithme family shall we?
Health is a delicate thing and all too often we jeopardize it in pursuit of pleasure, comfort and indulgence. People who are filled with confidence have not won a genetic lottery— they have their own determination and commitment to thank. It is about the choices we make on a daily basis, and decisions that allow us to make a positive change. Do not allow today to become another defeat, fill it with small victories and turn the tide in the war for a better, healthier life.
So I’ve decided to finally making a transition into who I truly am…a chicken.
Okay not really. But I am taking the first steps into becoming an egg donor. I’ve given blood many a time, I proudly sport a little heart for organ donation on my drivers license, and at Phoenix Comicon I got swabbed to become a possible bone marrow donor. While I strongly believe everyone should have complete control of his or her body (looking at you pro lifers), I also think every human has a duty to help those in need. I mean, there is no possible way I am going to use all of my eggs…so why not help a family that needs help producing a child? I should note I’d rather they adopt…but ya know.
So if you’re interested in the process, and what I’ve done so far, keep reading!
I did some baking (kind sorta…staywithme) today after I went to the gym. The irony is strong I know. BUT I thought I’d share what I whipped up. Now full disclosure, the original recipe is from my step-mom Rebecca, she makes these for my dad. (Everyone say hi to my Dad and Rebecca!) My Dad has a serious love for Reese’s peanut butter cups, and that’s basically what these cookies are. I took the basic recipe and added a couple things! Hope you enjoy!
Okay…I admit they kinda look bleh. But I swear they’re delicious!
Summer is upon us! Many bloggers are out there enjoying the nice weather, and are too tired to come up with blog post ideas late at night. Well that’s when it hit me…I should make a list for y’all! One of my most popular posts was my 160 Blog Post Idea post, so this is a smaller sequel! Hey you can expect 160 every time! I’m thinking of making this a seasonal post actually! So stay tuned for the fall edition! So keep reading if you need some inspiration. I even put the prompts into categories this time!😉
I’ve been slowly building my blogging résumé over the last year, and I’m proud to say it’s payed off. My job has allowed me to make contacts, and pick up freelance blogging, social media management and VA gigs. I learned so much in my first year of blogging, and I never thought it could have helped me at my ‘real’ job, but it changed my life! I’ve picked the top 5 things I’ve learned from this lovely little blog. Maybe you can learn a little from me too!
