2016 Resolutions

Hey guys, gals, and everyone else!

2016 is just around the corner, and while I believe in turning over a new leaf anytime in the year (get it? Ahaha), New years resolutions are a bit of a tradition for a lot of people. So I thought I would put mine together for you. I do my resolutions as half habits I would like to adopt and half a year to-do list.

 

*Run a 5k If you remember this is on my 5 year plan. I’m pretty excited to do this actually. I’ve always been super uncoordinated and not very athletic, so I’d like to try and change that.

*Buy a new truck. My poor baby truck is on her last leg. It’s a sad day really.

*Save up 3 months money. I’m a planner, as you can tell from these posts, and not having a big savings makes me uncomfortable. I hate not knowing I can take care of myself if something bad happens. Even if just for a little while.

*Take my LEED tests! Again on my 5 year plan. Environmental design is something I’m really passionate about, and becoming certified by the government is just the next step in making my career goals come true!

*Take better care of my hair. I’ve actually already started this. I’ve cut way way back on how often I straighten my hair. I secretly have a lions mane. But shhhh don’t tell anyone. I got my hair cut (because a thousand people told me too) in highschool, and it’s never really recovered. Moral of the story, don’t listen to other people.

*Go to ComiCon! I’ve never been, but I always see these super awesome cosplay outfits and would love to try my hand at it! I’m thinking Mystique from Xmen. Thoughts?

*Visit a Mies Van der Rohe structure. There’s actually one in Texas that I will probably visit. Alexander’s family lives there, so I’m basically forcing him to stop at the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston when we visit this year. I mean….look at it! Photo courtesy of housemuse.com

*Read more, specifically non fiction and before bed. I’m the queen of being on Instagram late into the night. I get off my laptop and onto my phone. Obviously this isn’t helping my sleeping patterns. I used to devour books in high school, and I’d like to get back into that. Plus, reading non fiction will probably help inspire me to work towards my enterpenuerial(ish) dreams!

I have my vision board, and a ton of goals. But sometimes it’s nice to make the basic resolutions. Hopefully I don’t lose sight of them by March! What are your resolutions for 2016? Let me know down below!!
