My Journals!

Hey guys, gals, and everyone else!

Does anyone else use journals? Like day to day diary type journals, or even the really popular bullet journaling? I actually use three different journals/writing things to keep myself organized. Actually four if you include my Erin Condren blog/fitness planner. It’s kind of a lot I know. If you want to know how and why I use so many-Keep reading!

IMG_7431So as I began to write this post I realized I left out my EC planner that I use for blogging and fitness reasons. BUT the three journals/planner you see above are ones that actually travel with me everyday. If you’re interested in how/why I use two planners you can check out my post here about it!

IMG_7452This is my FiloFax personal planner. While it’s mainly my day to day planner, I also keep a section for ‘lists’. I know…I have so many lists I have to keep a section for it. I amaze myself sometimes.

IMG_7462These lists range from hairstyles I want to try, to my bucket list (which you can read about here!), to places I want to travel with my love! ❤ I also have a section that’s specifically for ‘blog’ lists…but that is being transitioned over to my next journal of sorts!

IMG_7436 IMG_7434So the turquoise notebook is my blog journal. I got it for about $7 at Target! I just love the gold dots. They have it in pink, black and white as well ( I think I might go back and get the rest). In here I have put all my blog post ideas ( I have 160 ideas here if you need some inspiration!) I also include goals for my blog (soon to be blogssss) It basically has all my hopes, dreams, and plans for this crazy blogger life.

IMG_7440This is my gratitude/thankfulness journal! I actually got this idea from the Erin Condren planners. Basically each week there’s a spot for a short thankfulness message. I had read a couple articles about how writing your happy thoughts makes you happier. So now everyday, or when I can remember, I write down 3-5 things I’m thankful for. Sometimes it’s major life events, like my aunt getting a heart transplant!, and other times it’s just that I have enough money to get to work that week.

IMG_7442AND if you didn’t know, I love suns. So the message on the back of this notebook is adorable to me. I got this notebook at Michaels craft store for $1.50! A great deal in my opinion. I also like to accessorize it with this magnetic paper clip!

IMG_7450Unfortunately, I can’t remember what Etsy store I got it from, but you can find many like it by searching “planner bookmarks” “planner clips” or “magnetic bookmark” on Etsy!

Some people think these are a lot of things to carry around with me, but I don’t mind! For the job I have now (for like the next 5 days) I have a huge bag I have to use. These are all pretty small so they don’t take up a lot of room. Plus it’s really nice to look back at what I was thinking each day. I also like having all three because I can just jot down whatever thought/idea I have right then and there! I don’t have to wait till I get home and then end up forgetting. Blechk!

Do any of you use a thankfulness journal? Has it help make you more optimistic? Let me know down below!

Stay Sunny ❤

I use a few different ones: My planner, my blog planner, and journal for to-dos, and a journal for personal/diary type things. I don’t use the last one every day, but try to write in it at least once a week.

In addition to my diy planner (traveller’s notebook-style) I do carry a separate journal where I write whatever in–usually what I wore (because that’s sometimes how I remember when something happened), how work went, and what I got done at home. Also my place to vent, etc. Everything else goes into the planner in its own section.

I use a planner from tools4wisdom that I absolutely love! I remember using a filofax though! The toold4wisdom planner just had everything in one, goals pages, month at a glance, and weekly scheduler plus to-do.
    I haven’t journaled for a while though.

I do journal! I have one art journal and one writing journal, but even with the writing journal I add tons of stickers, wash tape, doodles, etc. I love art and I love writing, so it’s the best of both worlds 🙂

I love journals! It’s funny that I am reading this because I have a daily 5-year journal that I think I’ve neglected for like a month. Every day, you answer a question for the day, and you get to see how your answers have changed over the years. This is my fourth year doing it. Now, I have to go find it.

I’ve carried a journal around for years – I just wrote about it earlier – how it’s strangely comforting to have it with me. You never know when you might need it 🙂
