Vision Board

Hey guys, gals, and everyone else!

There are a lot of people who believe seeing is believing. I think that ‘Vision Boards’ can definitely help you achieve those goals! If nothing else it keeps you motivated by seeing them each day! I made my first one about 8 months ago. Since then I accomplished quite a few of my goals. So…I thought it was time for a revamp!vision board staywithmeonthis.com

So the picture above is my ‘old’ vision board! You can see my plan for decorating my graduation cap, swimming with sharks, and the snail tattoo I ended up getting in March! There are still a lot of things from this board that I want, so I ended up keeping them. You can see that below. Smoothies are optional, but so yummy!

So I kept my career goals, which include getting LEED certified. I also want to go to grad school soon, so that’s why there are schools listed! I center everything around a quote, just to keep me motivated! Also, there’s a little picture of my friend Melissa from blissandbirds.com ❤

To get the images I use, I look over my pinterest boards, tumblr archive and google. I try and cover these main areas. Work. School (if applicable). Fitness. Hobbies. Financial. I want to make sure that my goals are well rounded and achievable. It’s great to have far off goals ( I even suggest it), but the feeling of redoing your vision board because you achieved everything is great! Then I just put them into paint and print them!

Next comes cutting them all out!

Next, I just like to play around and find a set up that looks good to me. I do try and keep like categories together though. So fitness with fitness and so on. I also try and mix up pictures that are square, with some that are a more ‘organic’ shape. Keeping everything a mix is the key!

So here’s my new board! I’m very  happy with it. My boyfriend likes the idea so much that he and I are going to whip a vision board up for him soon! Oh, and here’s a bonus picture of my cat, Omen, cuddling with paper scraps!

I love vision boards and collaging in general. I keep stacks of magazines and stuff around to pull images and (often) words from. I have a big vision collage for each of my business ventures as well as for different points of my life. I’ve been thinking of incorporating them into my planner, as well, for 2016 🙂

I love your board! My sister made one a while back (she is in design school) and it is beautiful. I need to do this to stay motivated! I love your chalkboard print out!

I have never done a vision board before, but it sounds like a great way to keep track of goals. I may have my boys help me make one and do a “family” vision board 🙂

I love making my annual vision board! I never considered the idea of a revamp. As the goals are being accomplished and things are moving along so you need to set new goals later in the year so why not make a new board. That’s such a great idea!

Vision boards are SO much fun! I love this idea. I haven’t created one in a long time, but I think it’s a great way to keep yourself on track. I used to use Pinterest as my “vision board” but I got easily distracted there…
