Hi guys, gals, and everyone else!
Today marks the end of the first week of Juneversion! It’s been a lot of fun, and I’ve only had one day where I just didn’t want to get upside down. But, with a little inspiration I still did it! I’ve learned a few things along the way.
- Taking a picture of yourself in an inversion without a helper is very difficult.
- A week can make a difference. Last week I could barely hold a handstand long enough to have a friend get a picture, but now I can hold it for a few seconds. Progress not perfection, right?!
- People will look at you funny, but most of the time they smile afterwards. They seem to smile bigger, and laugh harder when you fall though.
- I had to explain my challenge to my boyfriend, Alexander. While doing so, I realized Juneversion was about more than defying proper ways of standing. Juneversion is about commitment, faith in yourself, and learning what my body is capable of.
Here’s a snapshot from each day. If you want to follow my adventures you can see them on Instagram. Staywithmeonthis! I’d love to see all of your pictures so don’t forget to tag me or tweet me! #staywithmeonthis #staywithme #juneversion
Stay Sunny ❤
